This fall, our School Board Section A has 3 candidates for school board. Michelle Rief, Tim Beaty, and Ryan Reyna are holding a series of “meet and greets” between now and election day. As a reminder, each school board seat has one candidate for this election cycle.
The first meet and greet of this school year will be this Saturday, August 24, at 9 a.m. at Windmill Hill Park, 501 S Union St.
Other dates and locations will be:
- Sat., Sept. 14, 4:00-5:30 p.m., Eugene Simpson Stadium Park (next to the YMCA on E. Monroe Ave)
- Sun., Oct. 6, 3:00-4:30 p.m., Hume Springs Park (off Dale St.)
- Sun., Oct. 27, 3:00-4:30 p.m., Montgomery Park (901 N Royal St.)
These are good opportunities to meet the candidates and discuss your ideas with board members. It’s important that they hear from families, students, and community members so they can advocate for us !
